How do I earn incentive awards?
You can earn incentives by participating in various activities that are geared toward maintaining or improving your health. Some awards may be automatically deposited into your award balance for things like completing your health assessment or for preventive health screenings. Others may be reported by you.
What if I cannot perform an activity recommended to me?
Always check with your doctor before beginning any exercise. If you think you might be unable to meet a standard for an award under this wellness program, you might qualify for an opportunity to earn the same award by different means. Call Customer Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the number on the back of your ID card and we will work with you (and, if you wish, with your doctor).
If I am a dependent on the plan, can I redeem awards?
Only the primary customer can redeem points and view the redemption history details.
What if I think my award values are incorrect?
If you think your values are incorrect, be patient. It means your awards haven’t shown up yet due to the nature of the activity and the time it takes to process.
If I have Cigna Incentive Awards points, how do the points convert to dollars?
Each banked point equals $1. Gift cards start at $10 and increase in $5 increments, unless prohibited by law. Once you earn 10 points, you can redeem your points at that time for a gift card or keep earning points through Cigna Incentive Awards to redeem them later. NOTE: Your incentive program may use dollars instead of points.
How do I redeem my awards?
To redeem awards, click the Redeem button toward the bottom of the home page or click on the Cigna Incentive Awards Program button at the top of the home page and then click “Redeem My Incentive Awards".
How long will it take to receive my gift card?
Most gift cards are received in a few days, although delivery via U.S. Mail can take up to 10 days.
Is a gift card taxable income?
If you purchased your health care plan through your employer, they may include the value of gift cards in wages and deduct applicable taxes from employee pay checks. Your employer can advise you on their process.
Do my award dollars expire?
Yes, your awards will expire if your Cigna Incentive Awards Program ends.
Will my gift card expire?
Some individual retailer's gift cards may expire, depending on the merchant. Be sure to read the terms and conditions of the merchants before selecting your gift cards.
If I am using MSN™ Hotmail, Yahoo!® Mail, AOL Mail or Gmail, can I select a virtual gift card?
Yes. However, some email service providers such as MSN Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail or AOL Mail allow users to filter out messages that might be perceived as "junk" mail. Depending upon the sensitivity level that a user may select, email from InComm InCentives could be inadvertently filtered from a mailbox. Since email will be sent from InComm InCentives and contains redemption information, we recommend that you adjust your email filter settings to the service provider's default or the lowest setting.
