What is the Bravo! Reward and Recognition Program?
It’s an FRBC initiative giving Bank employees one place to personalize awards and certificates recognizing Bank employees for living the Bank Values, and going above and beyond in their work.
What is the difference between the Bravo! Award and Bravo! eCheers programs?
- The Bravo! Award program is a monetary program for supervisors, managers and officers to provide immediate recognition for exemplary performance. The award values range between $25 and $500 and can be redeemed for gift cards to more than 350 retail, restaurant, travel, and entertainment options. There are three delivery options available: paper, print & present, and email.
- The Bravo! eCheers program offers employees and managers virtual, nonmonetary awards to help express appreciation for the work being done. All employees are eligible to order or receive Bravo! eCheers certificates.
- Both programs:
- are aligned to the Bank Values, allowing you to select a value that supports the recognition you are giving.
- are available for individual or team recognition.
- allow an email to be sent to the recipient’s manager with the details of the recognition.
- have a “Say Thanks!” feature, so when an employee redeems an award, they can easily thank the sender.
What is the Bravo! Award Program?
Bravo! Awards are intended to provide immediate recognition for exemplary individual or team performance. Additionally, it provides the Bank with a means of tracking Award activity through one streamlined application. These awards are to be "event-driven" and are intended to recognize:
- Demonstrated behaviors that reflect one of the Bank's values
- Unique and innovative employee contributions
- Special contributions made by an employee
- Significant team or cross-functional accomplishments.
The award values range between $25 to $500. Employee will receive the full dollar value of the award and taxes will be deducted from the department's discretionary expense budget.
All awards are funded by the recipient's department budget.
How does the Bravo! Award Program differ from other recognition programs at the Bank? *

Can I still give other types of reward and recognition (e.g. movie tickets or birthday cakes)?
Your department can continue with celebrations like birthday cakes, etc. However, if you currently utilize gift certificates as part of your recognition programs, we'd encourage you to talk with Human Resources to see how those programs can be incorporated into this tracking program. This will ensure that we are accurately tracking all our employee recognition activities and that we are in compliance with IRS tax guidelines specific to employee recognition. All forms of immediate recognition are treated as taxable income and must be issued using Bravo! to ensure that taxes are appropriately recorded.
Who is eligible to participate in the program?
All employees are eligible for a Bravo! award who have a performance rating of "Fully Effective," "Excellent," or "Outstanding". Hourly employees are not eligible.
Who is authorized to issue an Award to an employee?
Based on your position in the Bank as an officer, manager, or supervisor, your approval level to grant Awards will be as follows:
- Officers can issue an award to anyone in the Bank. No approval required.
- Managers can issue an award to anyone in their reporting hierarchy. No approval required.
- Managers can nominate anyone outside their reporting hierarchy for an award. Approval from the recipient's manager is required.
- Supervisor can nominate anyone for an Award. Approval from the recipient's manager is required.
What types of awards are available?
Bravo! Awards can be redeemed for gift cards to more than 350 retail, restaurant, travel and entertainment options. Employees determine which type of Award best suits their needs.

How can I send awards to several employees (cross-functional team) quickly?
On the "Search Recipients" page in the award order process, search for the first person or department you would like to recognize. Check the name(s) you want to include and click on "Add Selected." That will show the team members you have already selected, and lets you go up to the search fields to conduct a new search for other team members. Repeat this until all the employees you want to award are listed. Then continue the usual order process.
If I order several awards in one "group" for a team, when will the awards be sent out?
With a group order (several awards that all have the same message and value, but have the individual recipients name on the award), all nominations must be approved or denied before any awards are sent out.
How can we prevent the award going to the wrong email address?
During the process of ordering an award, you will be able to select the receiver to which the award will be delivered. The receiver can be the award recipient, the recipient's manager or yourself. Eligible employees must have a valid email address. For assistance regarding missing or invalid email addresses, please contact your Program Administrator.
Can I delegate award ordering rights to someone else?
Yes, but that individual must have ordering rights, and not just redemption rights. If you have questions about who has those rights, please contact your Program Administrator or Account Manager at
ProgramSupport_MN@engage.InCommInCentives.com or 800-765-4438.

I received the message "My session has expired." What does this mean?
As a security measure, you start a "session" when you log in to issue awards to participants. You may stay logged into the session as long as you are actively performing tasks, such as issuing Awards, or looking at reports.
However, if more than 20 minutes of nonactivity occurs, you will automatically be logged out. This is a security measure to protect against unauthorized award issuances from your computer while you are logged in. If your session does expire, you simply have to login again using your user ID and password. Remember, as policy, you should always sign out from your Internet Award Center or close your browser window if you are leaving your computer.
What if manager's name is not current?
If an employee's "reports to" name is incorrect, a PR280 needs to be completed to change the Supervisor ID field in PeopleSoft. This form can be found on 4Site. Please contact your Program Administrator for additional questions.
Is online ordering safe?
We invoke a secure software technology, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), whenever you enter personal information on Engage.InCommInCentives.com to ensure safe online shopping. The SSL software encrypts your order information to prevent the decoding and misuse of your information by unauthorized individuals.
Some versions of browsers and some firewalls do not permit communication through secure servers. In this case, you will be unable to connect to the server, so you won't have to worry about mistakenly placing an order through an unsecured connection. If you can't get access to the secure server for whatever reason, please call our Customer Service Consultants at 800-765-4438.
